Matlab, Python or R for Data Mining!

Hey Folks,

I am a new learner in Data Mining Field, and I want to learn one of the three subjective programming langs.

Would you help me decide where to go … Anyone who used them gimme a shout :smile:

probably each like the tools they use most frequently, but here are two reasons why I went for python:

  • It is open-source (MatLab isn’t)

  • It is a high level language, you can do web-scraping, machine learning, database administration with orm, even front-end stuff with Django or flask.
